1/3/2021 Making Content Evergreen
When making content, it’s one thing to post it once. It’s another thing to work SMART and make it ready to be posted several times throughout the year or several times in a quarter.
This can apply to social media, blog content, or other forms of content. There are several reasons for this. Most of your content shouldn’t be timely but timeless anyways. If a post contains a price, it probably still applies a few months later. If it’s about a certain aspect of your product or service, likely that hasn’t changed in a year. Social media doesn’t show everyone every post, so very likely most of your audience didn’t see the post (and they probably don’t scroll down your profile to look at every post). This gives you the ability to repost your content every few weeks or every few months. This allows you to make less content and be more effective. Social media also has disadvantages, in that the most recent posts show up on your profile first, but the most recent post may not be as impactful for some of your audience, so recycling your posts and posting them several times throughout the year may have a big impact. This is a good way to be sure that your content has a lasting impact on your business. Automation can have a great impact on your business and help you in content recycling. There are quite a few software that can be used to repost your content at the time interval that you choose.
